Medication Toenail Fungus - Those Which Work and Do Not
There are many different treatments for nail fungus. Here are some of the ones which I've experimented with and how effective they were for me.
Medication Toenail Fungus
Vick's Vapor Rub
Vick's Vapor Rub is a topical solution to nail fungus. Unfortunately I've experienced very little results with this stuff. It only helps the most mildest of cases.
lamisil Tablets
These are moderately effective. Unfortunately they're really expensive and they cause all sorts of side effects. This medication has a chance to damage your kidney and liver. This could lead to liver failure and possibly death. Treatment with lamisil takes months.
Listerine Mouth Wash Remedy
Soaking your feet in Listerine mouth wash two times a day at thirty minutes per treatment is another remedy I've heard people using. It's had mild results all around.
Beer Soak Remedy
I found that the most effective way to get rid of my toenail fungus was the beer soak method. Regular store bought beer will do just fine. I ended up showering my nails in warm water. I did this to make filing my thick nails back a little easier. This allows the treatment to be absorbed better. After filing, I then soaked my infected toenails in the beer solution for about 30 minutes per treatment twice a day. Immediately after the beer treatment I dried my nails and applied a natural topical solution.
Within a few weeks I really started to see good results. I discontinued my beer treatment and then stuck to just applying a natural topical treatment. Within a month and a few weeks I had completely eliminated my fungus.
If you have persistence and stick with your treatment regiment you should experience similar results.
